Matt Anderson: Personal Trainer / group fitness instructor
Matt has been with Ballard health club since 2001. Matt has a history of playing sports – football, basketball and track in high school, and a couple of years of college football. He got into power lifting to fill a void after he stopped playing football, leading to A.A.U. power lifting events and N.P.C. bodybuilding shows. After reconstructive knee surgery, Matt retired from body building in 2002. Through body building, Matt found he was able to lose a lot of weight he hadn’t realized he had gained since college. He became a personal trainer so that he could help people make their own life changing transformations. When Matt isn’t training at BHC, he loves playing recreational flag football, softball, rock climbing, and motorcycle-riding to name a few.
Matt holds certifications in Personal Training through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and the International Sports Science Association (ISSA) and is also a Silver Sneakers and TRX certified instructor.
