How long have you been a member at Ballard Health Club?
Anh: I joined in April 2022, almost immediately after moving to Seattle
Vinay: I started being a member from the start of June, 2022.
What is your favorite piece of equipment or exercise to do in the gym?
Anh: Squat is my most favorite exercise. The whole body movement feels very powerful when you pull it off.
Vinay: I would probably go with Chest Press :)
Why do you work out?
Anh: I'm a typical office worker who doesn't move much throughout the day. Last year, my wife and I couldn't fully enjoy a long anticipated vacation simply because we couldn't walk for long. That was my wake up call to take my fitness more seriously.
Vinay: My reason to work out is to get out of my comfort zone and to push myself to the absolute limit. Also, it helps me be calm and have a positive outlook. Lastly, everyone looks good when they are in good physical shape!
What do you do to work out?
Anh: I work out twice a week with my trainer Kyler and my gym buddy Vinay. I met Vinay through BHC -- having a partner is a great way to disincentivize me from cancelling sessions.

What in the gym has worked for you in attaining your goals?
Anh: Weight training has been massively helpful for my wellness. Even before I got stronger, it took me only 2-3 sessions to notice less back pain and lethargy.
Vinay: High intensity weight training has been very helpful. It has helped me in reducing those extra 1-2 pounds and made me much stronger. Also, my body recovery time has drastically improved.
Why do you choose to work out at BHC?
Anh: I'm a little dumbfounded why doesn't everybody work out at BHC -- clean, not crowded, affordable. I've never found any gym that manages to have all 3 qualities like BHC. Huge thanks to everyone who works at BHC!
Vinay: BHC is very close to the place I stay, and the gym provides various fitness classes + gym membership at affordable prices. For people who haven't checked out google reviews of this place, it is ONLY filled with positive reviews.
