Member Spotlight - Karen Tran
How long have you been a member at Ballard Health Club?
I will be coming up to 18 years in May.
Why do you work out?
I work out to stay as mentally and physically healthy as I can. For me, exercise is the key to being able to enjoy my life to the fullest, and it is so much FUN.
What do you do to work out?
Group classes of all kinds-working out on the gym floor has never been a routine for me. The different styles of teaching and class variety is always motivating.
What activity at BHC has worked for you in attaining your goals?
Camaraderie in the classes, and the challenges that the teachers always bring have been a big part of my staying interested.
Why do you choose BHC as your place to pursue fitness?
BHC has it all- a wide range of classes, beyond excellent staff/teachers, value, convenience and a very welcoming environment.
What is your favorite piece of equipment, exercise or class to do in the gym or at home?
I cannot name a favorite class, as I truly look forward to all of them. At home, I walk many miles per week as an addition to my classes.
Anything else you'd like to add?
Pat runs BHC with a client focus that is amazing-always growing and changing to become even better! Zoom classes saved me during the pandemic times, and because I moved to Mt. Vernon in 2021, I can still be a member, taking as many classes as I did living in Ballard.
