Continued Improvements, Nutrition Coaching, and Shout out to ON Crew!
3/1/24
Dear Members,
I would like to say Spring is just around the corner, but it sure does not feel like that yet. Good time to hunker down in your friendly neighborhood gym and get your body ready for the rest of the year.
We have had some problems with our network system at the club and our WIFI has not been dependable and I apologize for that. We have now upgraded the system and it is running better and faster than ever.
I know I have talked quite a bit about improvements to our gym in these past few letters and we have done several items already (new treadmills, flooring, etc.) but we have more projects in the works.
I have created a webpage to explain each improvement item and their status. That webpage is > www.ballardhealthclub.com/articles/2024-gym-improvements
There are 20 improvements on our current list with 9 completed and 11 still to do. We have several more items in the planning stages; they will be added to the list once we are sure we will do them. I will continually update the status of all the items. As it states on the webpage, we desire any feedback or suggestions from our members. All of the work we are doing is based on what we feel our members want and much of that comes from direct suggestions from each of you.
If you were fortunate enough to attend Brenda Savage’s sold out Nutrition workshop in February, then you know just how enlightening and useful her material was. I attended myself and she presented a whole different approach on how to improve your overall health and apart from just dealing with the foods we eat. Be on the lookout as we plan this great workshop once again. As our resident certified Nutrition Coach, Brenda now provides a program based on the material in her workshop that you may learn about here > www.ballardhealthclub.com/nutrition
We have MJ’s Restorative Yoga and Soundscape Journey this Saturday which is also sold out. Clearly people like to attend workshops at our Club. If you think of a topic that a group of members would like to learn about from our talented staff, please let me know and perhaps we will be able to create a workshop to provide that learning opportunity or experience.
I want to deliver a big “SHOUT OUT” to our Overnight (“ON”) Crew of Laurel, Samantha, Nick, Laga, and Chris. This team is responsible for completely cleaning the Club every night and to be present as gym monitors until our front desk opens the next morning. Chris, our Facility Manager, also manages the ON crew, repairs our machines, and enhances the Club with his building and mechanical skills. I want to state how appreciative I am of the job they are all doing behind the scenes, overnight providing a clean and safe working environment day-in and day-out for our members and day staff.
Thank you for being a part of the BHC family and we look forward to keeping BHC the place you can depend on now and in the future.
Sincerely,
Pat Gilbrough
