How long have you been a member at Ballard Health Club?
I've been a member at Ballard Health Club since August 2023, when I moved to Ballard from SLU.
Why do you work out?
I work out because it's important for my health and helps me feel good. Taking care of my body also helps me stay focused and clear-headed. Plus, I want to be ready for hiking when the season arrives!
When you are at the gym, what do you do to work out?
I try my best to go to the gym at least 3 times a week, sometimes aiming for 4. My focus is on lifting weights and I usually split my workouts between upper body and lower body exercises. Recently, I've been really enjoying the cycling classes at BHC. They're not only fun but also keep me in good shape.
What at BHC has worked for you for attaining your goals?
Consistency has been key for me in reaching my fitness goals. Regularly going to the gym and learning how to use the equipment properly have made a big difference.
Why do you choose to work out at BHC?
I choose to work out at BHC because I love the community vibe here. The people and the atmosphere make it a welcoming and motivating place to be. Also, it's conveniently located near my home, which makes it easy for me to fit workouts into my schedule.
What is your favorite piece of equipment, exercise, or class to do in the gym or at home?
My favorite activity at BHC is definitely attending cycling classes with Mariah! Not only are these classes incredibly enjoyable, but they also provide a challenging full-body workout. I find myself eagerly looking forward to each session, and the sense of accomplishment I feel afterward is truly gratifying. Plus, Mariah's energetic instruction and the supportive atmosphere of the class make it an experience I always leave feeling refreshed and motivated by.
What is one thing you’d like people to know?
I just want to express my gratitude to everyone at BHC for creating such a wonderful gym environment. It's truly a special place, and I'm thankful to be a part of it!
