Why do you work out?
Working out has done wonders for my mental health and energy levels. What I didn't realize when I first started out was how rewarding it would be to see progress - I went from not being able to do one solid push-up or know how to "work out" , to now doing 10+ pushups and no longer feeling intimidated by the machines at the gym
What do you do to work out?
50% classes (all Ivana's classes because she's awesome) and 50% strength training.
What in the gym has worked for you in attaining your goals?
Classes have really helped me build my gym routine. I started with 1 barre class/week, and then slowly ramped up my schedule by adding more classes. It is great to come into the gym without a plan and knowing that I'll get a great workout either way from my classes.
Why do you choose to work out at BHC?
"Friendly neighborhood gym" is really an apt description for BHC. It has a diverse, friendly community, I never feel like the odd one out. I also love that I don't have to choose between a traditional gym or a barre studio because I can get both!
What is your favorite piece of equipment, exercise or class to do in the gym or at home?
Barre classes :)
