New Nutrition offerings, a new Mandate and more Classes

October 1, 2021

Dear Members,

A new local mandate has been announced stating that as of October 25, 2021, all gyms in King County must verify that all their visitors are either fully vaccinated or show proof of a negative COVID-19 test that is no more than 72 hours old. While this may have an impact on several other gyms in King County, due to our vaccination wristband program that we started back in June, there should be little to no change here at BHC. We’ve made record of all those who have opted to show their vaccination status, and that status is displayed on a screen as people check into the club. The easiest way for staff to check for vaccination status is with people wearing their green vaccination wristband as they enter the Club. The wristband also shows solidarity with those of us doing our part to reduce the impact of COVID-19 in our community.

We are excited to announce that new Nutrition offerings are now in place at BHC. These range from a single hour of Nutrition Coaching to a complete Nutrition Program for either weight loss or hypertrophy (muscle growth). These offerings are open to everyone, and even non-members can access our Nutrition services.  To learn more about Nutrition at BHC, please visit the Nutrition Overview on the BHC website.

Yoga is returning to in-studio classes at BHC for the first time since we first closed because of COVID-19 in March of 2020!  Please join us on Monday nights at 7pm with Amanda in Studio Y. This isn’t the only bit of exciting Class activity happening at BHC. We are adding another in-studio Zumba class, and we are making all our Zumba classes “hybrid” to be both in-studio and virtual at the same time. Zumba is now in Studio Y Wednesdays at 7pm and Fridays at 6:30pm. Jose is back! Join him in his virtual Step and Tone class on Mondays and Wednesday mornings at 9:30am. Aurora is making her in-studio Circuit Training hybrid on Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:30pm. All these classes are in addition to the 50 other virtual classes that have been keeping quite a few members working out since the beginning of COVID-19.

Thank you to all our terrific members for helping us keep our club vibrant and alive. Together, let us continue to help one another through these difficult and long running COVID times.

Thank you,

Pat Gilbrough
