Group Fitness Instructor: Rachel Atwood
Rachel is a Seattle native who has also had a passion for fitness forever. Growing up she was a competitive skier and cheerleader. She has always been interested in a variety of different workouts and attending classes all over the city. In college Rachel started doing cycling classes at WSU and continued classes when she moved back to Seattle. Rachel started teaching spin in 2019 and fell in love with the energy and community she was creating. Her classes are designed with a variety of different movements and choreography. She loves creating new playlists full of fun bops that keep you hyped until the class is over! You can catch her in the cycling studio Thursdays at 6:00 pm.
Outside of BHC, Rachel is a kindergarten teacher for Seattle Public Schools. She has a passion for learning and teaching and brings that passion to her spin classes. In her free time, Rachel enjoys hiking with friends, doing yoga, and spending time with her family! Some of her favorite things include iced coffee (even during the winter), Renee Rapp, all types of scary movies, true crime podcasts, and attending live shows!
As a Seattle native Rachel has a lot of tips and suggestions for anyone looking for something fun and new to try. She is always trying to get out of her comfort zone and loves tackling new challenges. She will be getting certified in BodyPump and plans to start teaching BodyPump classes at BHC. She has really enjoyed getting to know the staff and members at the Club and is always looking to support members in their health journey. Rachel loves instructing because it allows her to make new connections and get to know everyone! Don’t hesitate to say hi if you see her around the gym!
