Silver Sneakers Changes in 2025

Many changes will take place in the new year regarding the fitness benefits that insurance companies are providing to its members. Ballard Health Club has been in contact with these fitness benefit programs for several months to investigate what this means and how we can best support our members during the changes.

Changes to Silver Sneakers in 2025:

• Silver Sneakers will no longer be a supported fitness benefit plan at Ballard Health Club

• Silver Sneakers @ Leif Erikson classes will be rebranded to ‘Silver Fitness @ Leif Erikson’

• The Silver Fitness class will be treated as all other classes at BHC and a PLUS Membership will be required to attend

What BHC is doing to ease the transition into 2025:

For any Silver Sneakers member who wishes to continue their membership in 2025, we are offering the Basic Membership at a reduced rate of $29/month or $290/year. This rate is only available for Silver Sneakers members. These rates will be locked in on your account for 2026 as well.

For those who wish to continue with a PLUS Membership, it will be available for $49/month or $490/year.

To prevent any disruption to our members’ access to the gym and/or classes while adjusting to all Insurance Provided Membership changes, Ballard Health Club will continue each IPM during the month of January 2025 at no cost to the member.

If you are considering a different insurance provider based on their fitness benefits, we will be accepting the following in 2025: Silver & Fit Premium Network, OnePass, Renew Active and FitOn.
