Letter from the Fitness Director

Hello Ballard Health Club Community,

I'm both very excited and grateful to be the new Fitness Director at BHC. Everyone has been warm and welcoming and the family-feel of the club is refreshing. To give you a quick snapshot of my fitness background, I've been working as a Fitness Director for the last 11 years overseeing personal training, group fitness, and CrossFit programs. Prior to that I was in San Diego working in the building material industry full-time, and teaching group fitness and personal training part-time. All together I've been in the fitness industry for about 20 years and still love it.

I live here in Ballard with my wife Amanda and 2 sons, Emmett (8) and Quinton (6) who go to Adams Elementary. When I'm not chasing after those boys and spending quality time with my family, my favorite thing to do is workout with my friends and then go to brunch (exciting, I know!). I also enjoy trying new restaurants, wine tasting, and traveling.

I’m looking forward to becoming a part of this community, and helping all of our members achieve fitness by supporting the personal training and group fitness programs. You can also train with me in the Total Body Strong - 60 classes on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 9:30 am. 

In closing, I’d like to thank Pat Gilbrough for giving me this opportunity, and to all the staff for their support in helping me get acclimated.
