Changes in the New Year
12/29/2023
Dear Members,
As you can see in the class changes section, we are adjusting and adding to the schedule to accommodate you members who love to start your exercise routine early. With Lisa’s Boot Camp at 6:30 am on Monday and Wednesday in Studio Y and Katie’s Wake Up! on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:00 am online.
José’s Step and Tone class will now be called Step Class. Beginning January 3, this class will move to an earlier time on Monday and Wednesday from 8:30-9:15 am in Studio Y.
An exciting new class, Total Body Strong 60, will start on Wednesday, January 3 in Studio Y at 9:30 am and will be offered Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. As the name implies, this class will provide an hour of thorough and challenging routines that are anything but routine and will be led by our new Fitness Director, Kyle Hyde. His Friday class will be our free class through the end of January. Brenda’s class, now called Total Body Strong 45, with a similar format, will continue to be offered in Studio Y and online 8:00-8:45 am.
Watch for several pop-up classes in January. Look for Cycling classes on Saturdays and Sundays with Mariah and Rachel starting on Saturday, January 6. Dance Fitness will be offered on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. in Studio Y with Malia starting on January 17.
The big change for me in January is that I will be stepping down as Class Director. Much as I have enjoyed working with Pat and all of our wonderful instructors, I am looking forward to having less structured time and more opportunities to relax with friends and family. I have an exciting trip planned at the end of January to meet my twin great nephews. They were born in Tokyo in October. I have been eager to lend a hand ever since.
I will continue to teach yoga and Silver Sneakers at BHC and fill in as needed as a substitute, so you have not seen the last of me. Fortunately, Pat has found a terrific replacement in Kyle. He will do all that I have done and a lot more to help BHC grow and develop as a club. It is wonderful to know that the job will be in such capable hands.
Please feel free to continue to reach out to me when you have questions or suggestions. I genuinely appreciate all the input that you have provided. It has been an honor to be part of the BHC team.
I wish you all the best in 2024!
Gratefully,
Marianne Clarke
