Here’s some fun facts about Trainer Jake-

How did you know you wanted to become a personal trainer?

I wanted to do something that I enjoyed and exercise is one of my passions. I love helping people and I wanted to find a way to combine these things.

What is one exercise you can’t live without?

I would say Back Squats. They are one  best whole-body, functional exercises with lots of real-world application.

What’s your favorite thing to coach a client through?

I love to coach clients through trying something new. It is a great experience to conquer your fears and do something you never thought you would do or something you might be intimidated by.

What is your best advice for someone just starting their fitness journey?

It is ok to feel out of place or awkward when just starting out. Don’t be afraid to seek help from someone with more experience, like a trainer. Remember, everyone has started from that same spot at some point.

What hobbies do you enjoy outside of the gym?

Mountaineering, rock climbing, and a lot of nerd stuff, like letting Chris win at magic the gathering.

What would you be doing if you weren’t a personal trainer?

Trying to make a living as a mountain guide.

What’s the main thing you miss about being in the gym during quarantine?

Seeing all of the smiling faces of our BHC members.

What has been your favorite quarantine activity?

Working on house projects!
