Member Spotlight: Palmer Raible

How long have you been a member at Ballard Health Club? 

Palmer has been a member since April. That was when her old gym closed suddenly. Although it was a shorter walk than it is to BHC, she prefers Ballard Health Club’s aesthetic and clean environment of BHC.

Why do you work out? 

I’m training to become a cage fighter. Ok, not true. I hope to build strength and stamina so I don’t fall apart when I’m old, which I already sort of am.

When you are at the gym, what do you do to work out?

I’m way too predictable. It’s an hour of weights and cardio, five days a week.

What at BHC has worked for you for attaining your goals?

That would be me - I’m disciplined!

Why do you choose to work out at BHC?

I wasn’t even aware of BHC because it’s not visible from the street. Fortunately, I got a recommendation from a friend just before I joined a different gym that cost three times as much.

What is your favorite piece of equipment, exercise, or class to do in the gym or at home?

The weight machines that are helping me build strength in my shoulders and countering the effects of being hunched over a laptop at work. Ouch.
