Studio X / Y Renovations Just About Done. NASM Partnership

Dear Members,

We have been hard at work on the renovations to Studio X / Z. This project involved tearing down the wall separating Studio X and Studio Z and the wall that was between the gym and Studio Z to open the space in those areas. It’s only been a few weeks since we started, but I am happy to say we are close to having the project done.

Here are the main things we have left to do:

1) Add new rubber flooring to the new floor extension from Studio X into Studio Z to allow that area to be opened to members ASAP.

2) Replace the carpeted flooring with new rubber flooring that is in front of Studio.

3) Install new flooring in the Studio Z space.

We purchase our rubber flooring from a company that recycles rubber from used automobile tires. The rolls of rubber flooring we purchased for this current renovation will keep 99 tires from ending up in a landfill.

Another significant activity going on at BHC, is our new partnership with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).

This organization is the recognized leader in providing certifications for fitness professionals. The most common certification is for Personal Training. The PT cert is one of the most intensive and takes several months of study. With this partnership, we can provide the opportunity for various certifications and training offered by NASM to our staff that is greatly subsidized by BHC. One of the ways we have been putting this to use is to present the offer of gaining a certification to front desk personnel. I am happy to report, recently 2 front desk staff have made the most of this offer. Emma Ingwalson is about to take her NASM Certified Personal Trainer test and Jackson Beermann is now a NASM Personal Trainer in addition to becoming certified as a NASM Nutrition Coach.
