How long have you been a member at Ballard Health Club?
Since 2017-2018
What is your favorite piece of equipment or exercise to do in the gym?
My favorite equipment is the tube band. It is so very versatile for strength and flexibility training. Depending on how it is utilized, it can fill in for weights as well as providing resistance.
Why do you work out?
I work out for my health and weight management. When I was at the gym instead of remotely, I enjoyed the camaraderie of other folks in my class.
What do you do to work out?
I usually work out on Zoom with my marvelous instructors. If not on Zoom, I listen to music. Almost daily I take a brisk walk in my neighborhood.
What in the gym has worked for you in attaining your goals?
The primary driver for me is the constant encouragement and upbeat attitude of my trainers. Further, the consistency in applying myself.
Why do you choose to work out at BHC?
BHC has the best trainers/instructors. Hattie and Ivonne are the top of the heap in keeping me and others motivated. They always provide positive encouragement, tips on modifying an exercise, demonstrating correct ways to do an exercise, and so many other suggestions on getting a great workout!
Anything else you'd like to add?
I am grateful that BHC initiated and has kept its virtual programming going throughout the pandemic. The staff is obviously motivated to help the gym stay afloat and also forge ahead. The in-person and virtual options are really great.
