The Big Dark?

October 19, 2019

Last week the Seattle Times had an article asking us to brace ourselves for something called the Big Dark. It’s not a thing. It’s weather and we all adjust year after year, and yes, some years are let’s just say, not as sunny. But hey, we’re in Seattle and all things are green all year around, we’re the lucky ones. We don’t have the extremes, although apparently rainy days and temperate weather for some are more challenging than weeks of humidity and a couple of months of freezing temperatures. I’m not going to judge, we all have preferences. Whatever yours are, if you need to get yourself out of the clouds then get into the gym and into your body and move. And if you’re someone who gets the PNW, Seattle and well of course Ballard, then you know this is our time to hone in our skills to manifest our goals. This weather is an opportunity to dig deep and work hard at our personal ambitions. This season is an opportunity to see the light that shines through the clouds. And by the way that light, it’s you. It’s you choosing to say Yes, I’m going to do it. Yes, I want to live my best life. And I’m guessing if you’re reading this, you know your fitness is part of your best life.

We’re going to see new faces in our classes these coming months, I hope they will be you trying a new class or continuing with a tried and true method to keep yourself active. Wherever you are in your fitness journey, keep showing up. Don’t use the “big dark” as an excuse to bring you down. It’s fake news. The clouds, they’re here for a brief amount of time for you to check in, and plan for the big project, which is you. So, get on you, and get into the gym, we’ve got the classes and we want to see you in there. This month the Monday-Wednesday-Friday 630am cycling classes is our free class. I teach the Wednesday morning, so I really mean it when I say, I’ll see you in class!!!
